Chocolate Bars

Last month, 2 of our very good friends were moving to the other city and we definitely wanted to have a get-together before they leave. We met friday night for dinner-out at some Indian restaurant and ended up having in-house pizza party! The next day, they were busy packing up their stuff and so we (the group) decided to catch up on sunday evening again at our place. Well, it was too cold and rainy weekend… And so, I thought of hosting a wonderful ‘Pakora Party‘ that evening :P There were 5 varieties of pakoras: Dalvada, Masala Vada, Mysore Bonda, Aloo Bhajiya & Methi na Gota… And with 4 different chutneys!

There’s a girl who can’t come to my place without any delicacy in her hands :) That’s Disha… Whenever we met up previously, she has always brought a big pack of some sweet with her :) I know, that’s so sweet of her to find some time (even on her working day) and make a big batch of interesting delicacies!!! This time also, she told me about that but I thought it must be something to go with dinner itself… But naah, she had made super-delicious chocolate bars for dessert. And that’s me, who prepared fruit trifle for everyone :P
Till the end time, I didn’t know what it was and she kept wondering if that will work! And let me tell you, that worked so wonderfully :) We together served my fruit trifle with her chocolate bar as a star-element on top of it :) Well, I had to get her recipe to post here… And here it is!!!

1

INGREDIENTS:

1 pack Marie Biscuits
3 tbsp Cocoa Powder (unsweetened)
1 tin Condensed Milk
Desiccated Coconut, to sprinkle

STEPS TO FOLLOW:

  1. Grind marie biscuits to make a coarse mixture.
  2. Transfer it to a bowl and add cocoa powder & condensed milk into it.
  3. Mix everything well to form a super-soft dough consistency.
  4. Spread it in a butter-greased pan/plate and sprinkle coconut flakes on top generously.
  5. Allow it to chill in refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
  6. Cut it into bars/cubes and serve with any dessert!!!

That’s how it looked as a perfect dessert :)
