Grilled Brussel Sprouts
Me-Time, Me-Time, Me-Time… I have been hearing this word often these days! So was wondering if I ever need Me-Time??!!! I would say no.. but then yes, I love introspection and it’s probably my way of having some good Me-Time!!!
Recently when I took a short-break from my work, I got plenty of time to think over the things I faced in past, current emotions and next-in-store stuff… My mind keeps thinking constantly until I get the right answer that justifies myself. It usually thinks faster when I’m working… when I’m doing some end-moment cake decorating… when I’m troubled with baking/cooking etc. Yes, it thinks faster than before. But those moments when I’m sitting idle, it thinks on the fastest pace ever :)
And during those resting days, I got to think of many things… Am I really doing what I wish to? Am I really happy doing this ‘cakes & bakes’? Then I thought, Yes. Although it wasn’t exactly what I wanted to do… or may be, I never knew I was skilled!!! But yes, this is what I actually want to learn more n more. And a little hiccup… felt I was going through a diversion line – what else could have been the options for me to work on? What if I had not been doing this?
So many streams came into mind, rushing like a river. Did I want to be a developer? No. Did I want to go on testing? No. Did I want to explore my knowledge in networking? No, not at all. Did I really want to continue working on IT? NO NO NO!!! Or else, apart from this IT field – Did I wish to join para-medical? Yes, there was a time when I did. Did I want to pertain my skills on Biology? Yes, probably for a long time. Or did I have some X-Factor to carry my career with some other practice too? May be!!! I believe I had a good dance talent. I believe I have a good singing talent too. But I never took it seriously to choose as a career… I didn’t even think of continuing it along with my job and studies :(
I remember all sarcasm I received when I started this work… I never tried convincing people for what I want to do! And I’ll never try doing it too… Actions speak louder than my words, I’m sure!!! Some people are still standing at the same stage from where they advised me… and I’m moving on :)
As far as I enjoy what I do, I’m fine!!! The day I’ll get bored of it, I’ll look for more options… and I’m sure I’ll find some or some other thing that suits me ;)

SJ’s NOTE:
I grilled zucchini the same way and served it along with salad greens :)
Those look so yummy, and I don’t even like brussel sprouts.
You try it out this way… or finely slicing n then sauteed in olive oil with a pinch of salt… You’ll surely love it! I too don’t like it otherwise ;)
Thanks! I’ll have to try that.
Lovely sprouts :)
I hope you find the answers you seek x
