Bread Pizza
Baking… Aah no! I’m not going to talk about baking cakes… specially not when I’m on a short-break from my work :) This one’s the most relaxing vacation we’re having… For a chance, I hardly step into the kitchen and KG has been enjoying cooking after a long time :P We cook… pretty much everyday but nothing that takes more than 30 mins!!! Quick cooking, long hours of sleeping, a series of movies, glasses of chilled fruit juices, eggs every morning and… no hangouts! :)
Well, I definitely miss turning on my oven often so thought of baking something for an evening snack! Yes… something that’s savory and can be prepared in no-time… It’s an easy-peasy one to make… And most of you must have done it many times before! Even I have but then did it for the first time with french baguette. I fell in love with these little beauties even before I tasted it. And later, I realized I should have used parmesan instead of pizza cheese-mix just to give a rustic touch!!! May be… next time :)
There you go… A very warm welcome of year 2015 with this warm ‘Bread Pizza’ straight from the oven :)
INGREDIENTS:
1 French Baguette
Tomato-Basil Pizza Sauce
Finely Chopped Onions
Finely Chopped Tomatoes
Finely Chopped Capsicum
Pizza Cheese-Mix
Italian Seasoning
STEPS TO FOLLOW:
- Cut the medium-thick slices out of baguette.
- Spread pizza sauce generously and put onions, tomatoes, capsicum over it.
- Sprinkle more/less cheese mix on top and a dash of seasoning.
- Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 mins.
- And it’s ready to serve!!!
SJ’s NOTE:
I was missing Ahmedabadi Pizza so made it this way! You can use your choice of toppings :D
I make mini pizzas quite often as it’s so simple and quick to put together! I usually use mini pita bread or small pre-packaged garlic bread pieces; but you’re looks lovely too!
Here’s wishing you a fabulous 2015 ahead!
