Potato Masala Sandwich

We love dosas… And specially, simple masala dosa with chutney only! But my prob is… I always make that masala in excess amount :P How do you use leftover dosa masala??!!! Well, I prefer to make some masala dosa on the next day too in case if I have batter ready! It wasn’t the case last time so I made some stunning Dosa Pockets and we absolutely loved that with chai in the evening…

But this time, we were quite hungry and I didn’t want to spend much time making shortcrust pastry and baking them! :( I came up with a quick solution… “Potato Masala Sandwich” :) Absolutely delicious, filling & yes, wonderful chai-time snack!!! Here you go with the recipe…


Makes: 2


3/4 cup Dosa Stuffing

4 Bread Slices

Butter, as a spread

2 tbsp Coriander-Mint Chutney

Tomato Ketchup, to serve



  1. Apply butter on 2 bread slices and spread coriander-mint chutney on other 2.
  2. Put generous amount of stuffing on green breads and spread it evenly.
  3. Cover it with the buttered slice and apply butter lightly on top as well.
  4. Grill them in traditional sandwich maker and serve with ketchup!
