September is almost here… and there’s absolutely no sign of getting some sunshine and having a warm climate around :( Looks like I’ll have to continue making soups and other comfort meals until I get some strong spring vibes!
Well, we’re used to this bad/gloomy weather but all what I can think of is about in-laws visiting us soon. I hope they find it bearable for a couple of weeks (hopefully) at least. When I get tired of cooking grand-meals for dinner, I’m sure my mother-in-law will enjoy in a new kitchen (yes, first visit of them) :) I’m so much looking forward to gobble up all those home-cooked, pure desi style meals, cooked by her!!!
To be honest, I always enjoyed cooking with her in past (I got a very little time though) but yes, so much waiting to get her experience of years incorporated in my not-so-modern yet unconventional (or fusion) cooking! Ohhh yes… I might be posting a couple of sweet dishes on this page too, along with traditional gujju dishes!!!
Looks like I’m super-excited to welcome them, yeah? Ohhh yes… I’m! At the same time, I’m super nervous too… Life is gonna change soon! Some twists and turns to take place in a month’s time!!! And as I’ve been saying forever… I’m ready to face challenges that are part and parcel of life :) At least, I won’t be a crying baby… repenting on any of my actions/decisions about life!!!
Huhhhh… Moving on to the recipe :) Just wanted to have something to munch with a cup of ginger tea in this gloomy weather and as I can’t have those super-spicy store-bought sing bhujiya, I made some home ;)
1 cup Peanuts
1/2 cup Rice Flour
2-3 tbsp Besan (Chickpea Flour)
1 tsp Black Salt
1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder (or white pepper, to make it spicier)
Salt, to taste
1 tsp Chat Masala
1 tsp Garlic Powder
Oil, to deep-fry
STEPS TO FOLLOW:
- Take all the ingredients except peanuts in a bowl.
- Mix everything well and adjust the spices according to your tastebuds.
- Add peanuts in it and gently fold it to cover all of them with batter.
- Heat oil in kadai and slide these peanuts carefully in it. Make sure you slide it in sprinkling motion so it gets separated.
- Deep-fry until golden brown n crispy outside.
- And store it in airtight container once cooled down to room temp.
